Club Meeting – October 27th – Urban RFI and Ham Radio

Monday, October 27, 2025 – 7:00PM
1 Courthouse Drive, 3rd Floor 2020 Room, Denton

Presenter: Kenneth Wyatt WA6TTY

In the last decade there’s been a dramatic increase in RFI pollution from poorly filtered switch- mode power supplies and LED lighting. The result has been in increase in broadband EMI and a corresponding increase in the receiver noise floor for communications in the HF bands (1.8 to 30 MHz). This affects both amateur radio operators and military communications.
